Being a black girl isn't easy, but beauty can be found in the challenges. Jayne Allen's series about a black woman fighting for and defining her dreams day by day is a refreshing but poignant reminder of what it really costs to "have it all" as a black woman in this world. "Black Girls Must Die Exhausted" is the first of three novels in the series and it definitely starts things off strong and leaves you wanting more.
